Terms of Service

Terms of service

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Who we are

nupath.eu is operated by New Media Crew ApS, Sortemosevej 215, 2730 Herlev, Denmark, company registration DK35386262. You can reach us at nupatheu@proton.me. These terms apply to everything you do on nupath.eu.

2. Three ways to use the site

You can read our public content without an account. You can create a free account, which adds our newsletter and access to member content marked as free. Or you can take out a paid subscription, monthly or annual, which gives you access to everything on the site while your subscription runs.

3. Free accounts and the newsletter

A free account needs a working email address and nothing else. We use it to sign you in and to send you the newsletter. Some links in the newsletter lead to content for paying subscribers only; it is always marked as such, and you will never be billed for anything you have not signed up for. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or close your account at any time from your account page; see the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

4. Paid subscriptions

Paid subscriptions run monthly or annually and renew automatically until you cancel. The price shown at checkout is the final price and includes VAT, which we calculate based on your country of residence. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your subscription starts as soon as the first payment is confirmed, and the payment confirmation is our acceptance of your order.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If we change subscription prices, we will tell you by email in advance, and the new price applies only from your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you disagree.

Subscriptions are personal. You must not share your login or resell access. If you want access for an organisation, contact us at nupatheu@proton.me first and we will sort out a suitable arrangement.

5. Refunds

If you are a consumer, you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days of your first purchase, no reason needed, and get your money back. Email nupatheu@proton.me from the address you signed up with and a line like "I withdraw from my purchase" is enough. We refund to the original payment method without undue delay; banks sometimes take a few business days to show it. Depending on the payment method you chose, the payment provider may not return its transaction fees to us; where the law permits, the refund may be reduced by those non-recoverable costs. This guarantee sits on top of your statutory rights under EU consumer law and the corresponding rules in EFTA countries and the UK, which are never reduced by these terms.

6. If the site ever closes

We intend to run nupath.eu for the long term. If we ever decide to close it permanently, we will give subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email, stop all renewals, and refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for.

7. Using our content

All content on nupath.eu belongs to New Media Crew ApS or our sources. You are welcome to quote our work with attribution and a link, and to share links anywhere. You must not republish whole articles, share subscriber content outside your subscription, or systematically copy or scrape the site. You must not use our content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine learning or AI system, or to build datasets for that purpose; where EU law allows text and data mining exceptions, we expressly reserve our rights.

8. Our content is journalism

nupath.eu publishes news and analysis about European digital sovereignty. We work carefully with sources, but our content is journalism and general information. It is not legal, financial, procurement, or compliance advice, and decisions you make based on it are your own; get professional advice for your specific situation.

9. Fair use of the service

Do not attempt to break into accounts or systems, disrupt the service, or use the site unlawfully. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms; where practical we act proportionately and tell you why. If we close your subscription because of your serious breach, no refund is owed beyond what mandatory law requires.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law says it cannot be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or business interruption, and our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We aim to keep the site available but do not promise uninterrupted operation; hosting, email, and payment are provided through third parties whose outages are outside our control.

11. Changes

We may update the site, its features, and these terms over time. If a change materially affects what subscribers receive, or materially changes these terms, we will notify subscribers by email before it takes effect, in good time to cancel before the next renewal. The date at the top shows the current version.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the country you live in, and you can bring a dispute before the courts there. Talk to us first at nupatheu@proton.me; almost everything is faster to fix directly. Consumers in Denmark can also complain to the Danish consumer complaints system (see forbrug.dk); consumers elsewhere can use their national consumer bodies.
