Privacy and cookies

Last updated: 12 July 2026

The short version: we collect as little as we can, we sell nothing to anyone, we show no ads, and we set no tracking cookies. Here is the full picture.

1. Who is responsible

New Media Crew ApS, Sortemosevej 215, 2730 Herlev, Denmark (company registration DK35386262) is the data controller for nupath.eu. Questions and requests: nupatheu@proton.me.

2. What we collect, and why

If you just read the site, we collect no personal data from you directly. Our hosting platform keeps standard server logs (IP address, requests) for security and operations, and our visitor statistics are cookie-free and aggregate: we see that pages were visited, not who you are.

If you create a free account, we store your email address, an optional name, and your newsletter settings. We use these to sign you in and send you the newsletter you signed up for. Legal basis: performing our agreement with you. Our newsletter records whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can see what is worth writing; you can object to this at nupatheu@proton.me.

If you become a paying member, Stripe processes your payment and shares with us your email, the amount, and your country (used for VAT). We never see your card number. Legal basis: performing the contract, plus legal obligations such as Danish bookkeeping law, which requires us to keep transaction records for 5 years.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence as long as it is relevant to the matter. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.

3. Who processes data for us

We use a small number of service providers, each bound by data processing agreements: the Ghost Foundation runs our hosting and newsletter delivery (Ghost(Pro); visitor statistics are stored in EU regions), and Stripe handles payments. Some of these providers process data outside the EU/EEA; where they do, transfers rely on the European Commission's approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy framework. We never sell or share your data for advertising, and nothing about your reading habits leaves the platform.

4. How long we keep things

Account data lives as long as your account does. Close your account and it is removed from the active system, with backup copies expiring on the platform's normal cycle. Payment records are kept for 5 years after the transaction year, because Danish law says so. Server logs and correspondence are kept only as long as they are useful for security or the matter at hand.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, hand it over in a portable format, or restrict or object to how we use it. Write to nupatheu@proton.me and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Denmark that is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk), and you can always use the authority in the country where you live, including the ICO if you are in the UK.

6. Cookies

nupath.eu sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner. The only cookies in use are strictly necessary ones: a session cookie that keeps you signed in when you have an account (set only when you sign in), and cookies set by Stripe during checkout to process payment securely and prevent fraud. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under EU rules. If we ever add cookies beyond these, we will add a consent banner first and update this page.

7. Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and, for material changes affecting account holders, notify you by email. The date at the top shows the current version.
